Option A
If a family member passes away, simply contact our Support Centre. We'll make sure the nearest funeral services branch reaches out to you within minutes. When they handle your funeral arrangements, you're assured of quality service and products throughout. If you complete the entire funeral service through our Funeral Assistance programme, you'll also receive up to 10% off the coffin and service fees.

Option B
Members receive the following benefits:

• R500 discount when spending between R4,500 and R7,499 on coffin and services
• R1,000 discount when spending more than R7,500 on coffin and services

Option C
Members receive a 10% discount on:

• Grave or cremation costs
• Doctor's fees for completing cremation documentation
• Minister's, churchwarden's, and organist's fees
• Transport costs beyond a 30km radius from an AVBOB office
• Additional funeral leaflets over 100

Our Funeral Assist Service offers specialised, professional support to members arranging a funeral during a difficult time. We aim to provide telephonic assistance in a language that removes or minimises communication barriers when you need it most.

This service includes:

• Help with official documentation, such as death certificates and border crossing paperwork
• Assistance with autopsy arrangements and referrals to pathologists and reputable, recommended undertakers
• Support with funeral arrangements, including tombstones, marquees, catering, and flowers
• Guidance on the legal aspects of funeral procedures, such as the correct removal of the body
• Transportation arrangements, which can include covering the cost for one relative to accompany the remains to the funeral home nearest the burial site
• Referrals to funeral homes
