This service gives you direct access to dedicated case managers and a national network of accredited service providers for roadside emergencies. Services only apply when requested through the Call Centre. Parts, repairs, maintenance, and other goods/services listed below aren't included. In some cases, the Call Centre may cover certain costs upfront and recover them from you afterward.
Please note: this is not an insurance product. The Call Centre doesn't indemnify you against any loss, liability, expense, or damage.
Vehicles up to 3,500kg
If you're stranded due to a breakdown or accident, the Call Centre will arrange one of the following:
Flat Battery
We'll arrange a jump start. If that doesn't solve it on the scene, your vehicle will be towed to the nearest suitable place of repair or safety, within a 60km round trip from the dispatch point.
Keys Locked in Vehicle
We'll arrange to open the vehicle and retrieve your keys, within a 60km round trip. If we can't resolve it on-site, the vehicle will be towed to the nearest suitable location, also within 60km. Any repair costs beyond this are for your account.
Flat Tyre
We'll arrange for your spare tyre to be fitted. If there's no spare, we'll tow the vehicle to the nearest approved repairer or fitment centre, within a 60km round trip.
Run Out of Fuel
We'll deliver up to 10 litres of fuel to you (fuel cost is for your account), within a 60km round trip. This is limited to 2 incidents per year. Extra fuel beyond that can be arranged at your own cost.
Winching/Extraction Assistance
If your vehicle gets stuck in a ditch or similar inaccessible spot within 50 metres of a paved road or highway, we can help extract it. This doesn't cover off-road driving or unpaved highways. Charges apply per hour.
Mechanical and Electrical Breakdown
We'll tow your vehicle to the nearest franchise dealer (if under warranty) or nearest repairer, within a 60km round trip.
Accident Tow
Following an accident, we'll arrange towing to the nearest insurance-approved motor body repairer, within a 60km round trip.
Storage
If needed overnight, on public holidays, or over weekends, we'll arrange safe vehicle storage. On the next working day, it'll be moved to the nearest approved dealer or repairer. A second tow is for your account, unless it's simply a continuation of the first tow due to after-hours, weekend, or public holiday timing.
Urgent Messages
On request, we'll pass along messages about delays or changed plans to a family member, employee, or colleague you nominate.
If Stranded 100km or More From Home or Office
We'll arrange one of the following:
Courtesy Transport
A 24-hour Group B rental vehicle, provided you have a valid driver's licence and credit card to secure the booking.
OR
Hotel Accommodation
One night's stay at a preferred provider in the area for the driver.
Roadside Assistance Terms and Conditions
- Only validated members will receive services.
- Every case is handled individually and depends on traffic, weather, and accurate information provided.
- Cover only applies to breakdowns or accidents within South Africa, Lesotho, or Swaziland. No refunds are given for incidents in other countries.
- Only one vehicle is towed at a time, not a trailer, boat, or caravan. Extra tows for these are for your account. Second tows are also for your account, except when they're a continuation of the original tow due to after-hours, weekend, or holiday timing.
- Mechanical breakdown cover applies whether the vehicle breaks down at home or on the road.
- Battery replacement costs are for your account (South African territory only).
- The per-kilometre rate may change based on fuel price movements.
- All services must be authorised and arranged through the Call Centre. Costs from arrangements made without prior authorisation aren't covered.
- For mechanical/electrical breakdowns, the vehicle is towed to the closest franchise dealer or repair centre within the specified limits.
- Courtesy transport and overnight accommodation only apply if the vehicle was towed by the service provider and you're more than 100km from your permanent residence.
- An accident is defined as damage to one or more body panels needing body shop repair, resulting from a collision with another vehicle or object. It also includes engine fires, or damage to the suspension, wheels, or undercarriage from hitting a pothole, kerb, or pavement, where the damage is clearly of an insurable nature (insured or not). In cases of doubt, the service provider will make the final call. If mechanical failure causes the vehicle to become non-driveable, this is also treated as an accident.
- Accident-related tows go to the nearest insurance-approved motor body repairer, within the specified limits.
- You're responsible for any costs from breaking window glass if that's the only way to access the vehicle for towing.
Exclusions:
- Vehicles not in roadworthy condition
